![]() The LCPS superionic conductor is promising for use as a solid-state electrolyte material for all-solid-state lithium ion batteries. LCPS is a superionic conductor, exhibiting a much higher ionic conductivity of 84.9 mS cm −1 at 300 K than the state-of-the-art Li 10GeP 2S 12 material, due to the weaker Li ion binding and the energy compensation for forming Li vacancies due to the variable valence state of the Cu + cation. LCPS can form electronically insulating but ionically conducting interphases at high lithium chemical potential, preventing further reduction or oxidation by passivating its surface and enhancing its electrochemical stability due to the limited kinetics. Our theoretical studies reveal that the LCPS material is thermodynamically and dynamically stable, and very likely to be experimentally synthesized. Loudoun County Public Schools and its Career and Technical Education Programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities and, if applicable, provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups.A new sulfide-based superionic conductor, a kesterite-structured Li 2CuPS 4 (LCPS) material, was proposed based on density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Loudoun County Public Schools offer a wide range of Career and Technical Education programs, including Agricultural Education, Business & Information Technology, Career Connections, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health & Medical Sciences, Marketing, Military Sciences, Technology and Engineering Education, and Trade & Industrial Education. Of the students graduating in 2022-2023, 3,015 seniors were program completers with a sequence of two or more CTE classes. This is compared to the 41,819 students in the state of Virginia who earned this credential in 2022-2023 LCPS students earned 648 Workplace Readiness Skills assessment credentials in 2022-2023.24,889 industry credential tests have been passed by students since the 2020 - 2021 school year.6,881 students earned one or more credentials in LCPS CTE.LCPS CTE offered 45 different industry credential tests in 2022-2023, and students earned 8,033 total industry credential tests in 2022-2023.LCPS CTE paired high-quality work-based learning experiences with all home high school, elective courses in the 2022 – 2023.The application will only be available in the Student Opportunities portal via LCPSGO on December 1, 2023, and close on January 31, 2024. Additional information on HAMSci will be posted by September 1, 2023. In the Fall of 2024, LCPS CTE will expand the Health and Medical Sciences program by opening the Health and Medical Sciences Academy (HAMSci) at two high schools (TBD). ![]() The application for current 8th-grade students will only be available in the Student Opportunities portal via LCPSGO on December 1, 2023, and close on January 31, 2024. Students seeking to participate in the NJROTC program must attend Loudoun County High School if accepted and are required to apply (this process is only for current 8th-grade LCPS students) OR apply through the Office of Special Permission. Loudoun County Public Schools has one (1) military science, NJROTC unit, which is housed at Loudoun County High School in Leesburg. LCPS CTE programs are centered on competency-based instruction, active career and technical student organizations, industry-recognized credentials, and work-based learning experiences.
